Milan – the summer is coming to an end, and so is the Nerazzurri’s sporting and activity, which saw children between the ages of six and fourteen take part in training sessions with coaches from Inter Campus and Inter’s Elite Academy in the courtyards outside their homes. The initiative came to fruition thanks to the support of volunteers and instructors from the Italian Sports Centre.
Two fixtures, part of the #EstatePopolare initiative organised by Milan City Council, there were training sessions in Via Teramo 31 and in Via De Andrè 12, in the southern suburbs of the city, in what was a great opportunity to get youngsters involved in football and ball games outdoors, all while rigorously respecting sanitary protocols.
In the afternoons, the families of the children also got in on the action, keen to take part in the initiative set up by the administration to get children living with their families in social housing managed by MM and Aler. Parents watched on as their children ran about and got stuck into the activities, in a friendly family atmosphere.
