PORTO – Croatia's opening match in the new edition of the UEFA Nations League ended in defeat at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto. Portugal beat Dalic's Croatia side 4-1, with Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic coming on for the final half an hour, replacing Pasalic and Breaklo respectively in the 61st minute.
