The all-time top scorer in Inter’s history was born in Milan on 23 August 1910, a legend for the Nerazzurri and all of Italian football


MILAN – Class, technique and a real eye for goal. On this day 110 years ago, Giuseppe Meazza was born in Milan. One of the first icons of the game, unstoppable on the pitch, lethal with both feet, innovative in his style of play and in countless magical moments.

The all-time top scorer in Inter’s history: 284 goals from 408 appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt, all while wearing the captain’s armband for nine years. A true legend for Nerazzurri fans and all of Italy, and a man central to two World Cup wins for Italy in 1934 and 1938.

Today, on 23 August, 110 years since his birth, we remember the passion that made him a point of reference for generations of footballers. His name is deeply intertwined with Nerazzurri colours, engraved into the Inter Hall of Fame in the 2019 edition alongside two more legendary strikers in our history: Ronaldo and Diego Milito.
