The 2020 Europa League final is fast approaching: Inter vs. Sevilla will be kicking off on Friday at 21:00 CEST in Cologne, in the first ever meeting between the two sides. Up for grabs is a trophy that Inter have won three times, and that their Andalusian opponents have won five times. This is Inter's fifth UEFA Cup/Europa League final, after those in 1991, 1994, 1997 and 1998.
UEFA have announced the colours that Sevilla and Inter will be wearing for the final, taking into consideration the fact that Sevilla were drawn as the home side in the fixture.
Inter will be taking to the pitch in our classic Nerazzurri (black and blue) colours, black shorts and white socks.
Meanwhile, Sevilla will be wearing white shirts and shorts, and black socks.
Our goalkeeper will be wearing a full orange kit, while Sevilla's keeper will be wearing yellow. Dutch referee Danny Makkelie will be wearing a pink shirt and black socks.
INTER'S COLOURS IN UEFA CUP FINALS
Inter have played in four UEFA Cup finals, three of which were played over two legs. In the seven matches, Inter have taken to the field in our classic Nerazzurri (black and blue) colours five times, with black shorts and socks. On only one occasion, in Gelsenkirchen in the first leg against Schalke 04 in 1997 (a 1-0 defeat), Roy Hodgson’s Inter side wore their away kit, white with a black and blue horizontal stripe. The 1998 final, and indeed the entire 1997/98 competition, were characterised by our third kit, which had black and grey horizontal stripes.
