FERRARA – Cristiano Biraghi was a key figure in Inter’s victory over SPAL as he scored his third goal of the season (second in the league, first in the Europa League) and turned provider for the Nerazzurri’s third with a perfect cross that landed on Sanchez’s head. It was the fourth time that the left winger has set up a goal this season. After finding the net with his right foot, he went on to kiss the Nerazzurri badge, as he usually does.
After tonight’s game, Biraghi spoke to Inter TV and had the following to say: “There can be complications in games like these ones. We did well to control matters in the right way from the get-go. A clean sheet away from home? We’ve struggled to manage things in our last few matches, and when you’re 3-0 up it’s important to keep your playing levels high: we’ve received a few blows and they’ve hurt. Three goals without any spectators present? It’s a shame, but that’s the way it is. I hope to save some more goals for when we’re playing in front of our supporters again. We’ll use tomorrow to recover, and on Sunday there’s another equally important match against a strong side. However, we’re fully aware of what we can do, we’re Inter.”
