MILAN – with the comeback win over Torino, Inter are back in second in the Serie A standings, back to winning ways after the frustrating draw with Verona: “We were coming into this game after two games where we didn’t manage to get what we deserved from the match” – Daniele D’Ambrosio commented after the final whistle – “It’s a great feeling to be winning again, and I think that we deserved the three points given the effort that the team put in on the pitch.”
“Players at Inter have to get used to gossip, but we’ve also got to be ready for criticism when we don’t get the result. We’re concentrating on improving, the Coach is raising the bar in all aspects of our game. He’s asking a lot of us and of all those who are part of the Inter family. His demands are important though, they force you to grow together as a collective. He knows what it takes to win and we all make sure to follow his advice. The important thing is to win and to get the three points. We've changed the way we look at things, Inter are on top of things and victory is our highest priority.
On his position: "Being the third man in a back three is a role that suits me. In some cases I could even play wider for certain less attacking cases. It's right that there's a lot of competition at Inter, otherwise we wouldn't win."
"We made life difficult for ourselves today, but this a part of the growing process. Sometimes you aren't able to close games out, we know that there is room for improvement, and we need to work on that in order to improve."
