Work on the new building that will host the players' rooms has now been completed

APPIANO GENTILE – The first stage of modernising the Suning Training Centre in Appiano Gentile has been concluded, with the inauguration of the new clubhouse today. The structure houses first-team players' rooms as well as other areas available to staff and the management team.

The construction of the clubhouse is the first step of the modernisation programme for the Suning Training Centre. The innovative and modern new structures, which reflect the ambition and future vision shared by Suning and the club, have been designed with the aim of reaching even higher quality standards, both in sporting performance and infrastructure and working areas.

"The inauguration of the new clubhouse represents a new and important step in the process of renewing our infrastructure," stated Alessandro Antonello, FC Internazionale Milano Corporate CEO. "After the opening of the new HQ, we are thrilled to present Inter's second innovative, functional and environmentally friendly building to you today. This has been made possible by the efforts of the Suning Group, which continues to invest passionately in the Club."

"The Suning Training Centre is the heartbeat of the Club's sporting endeavours and the modernisation project is of fundamental importance for boosting our players' performances to the highest level," explained Giuseppe Marotta, FC Internazionale Milano Sport CEO. "Working in an environment where there is a strong sense of belonging and also a future vision built on success can only further enhance our bid to achieve the targets that a club like Inter deserve."

The new building, which was designed for the club by COIMA Image, incorporates a prefabricated wooden construction system patented by WoodBeton. It stands out because of its sustainability while boasting a modern design that fuses cutting-edge technology and respect for the surrounding environment. It is perfectly integrated with the existing buildings and adopts the same compositive language through a clear structural metric that can be seen in the transparency and permeability at ground-floor level.

The branding of the new building was designed with the aim of showcasing key values such as loyalty and a sense of belonging, which are represented by images of celebrations on the walls by the entrance, the clubhouse and the area connecting the hotel to the dining hall. Every room will have an international and global feel, just like the club as a whole. Both meeting rooms are dedicated to Milan and Nanjing, the two cities which are the heartbeat of Inter.
