An action-packed match full of twists and turns at San Siro: goals from Lukaku, Biraghi and Borja Valero aren't enough for the win

MILAN – An incredible match at San Siro which was full of twists and turns. Inter vs. Sassuolo finished 3-3, with the Nerazzurri left to regret the fact that they weren’t able to kill off the game. Conte’s men were left with an uphill task from the start as Caputo latched onto Djuricic’s ball and fired into the net. Inter then turned it around before half-time, with Lukaku scoring from the penalty spot and Biraghi making it 2-1. In the second half, almost all of the action came towards the end of the game. After Gagliardini had missed a golden opportunity to extend the Nerazzurri’s led, Berardi converted a spot-kick to level matters. Borja Valero then brought Inter back in front, but it wasn’t enough for victory: Magnani’s close-range finish in the 89th minute meant that Inter were forced to settle for a 3-3 draw. Skriniar was also sent off in added time after receiving a second yellow card.
