Lega Serie A have also announced other important news regarding the semi-finals and final of the Coppa Italia:
- In both the semi-finals and final, in the event of a tie on aggregate after 90 minutes (i.e. in the event that Inter are 1-0 ahead after 90 minutes in the second leg), extra time will not be played and instead it will go straight to penalties.

Where the two teams make a substitution at the same time, this will be considered an interruption of the match used by both sides.
The two Coppa Italia semi-finals will be preceded by a minute of silence, which will be observed to commemorate all the victims of the COVID-19 emergency. The teams and match officials will then carry out a round of applause for three members of the National Health Service’s staff who will be on the pitch with the players: the three medical staff members will symbolically represent all the nation’s medical staff, doctors, nurses, professionals, operators, researchers and all those involved in the fight against COVID-19.
