MILAN - The 300,000 masks donated by Inter and the Suning Group to the Department of Civil Protection have now arrived from Beijing, with the products donated for medical use in dealing with the health emergency at this time. More medical products arrived from China along with the masks, including protective clothing and disinfection products in an effort to fight the ongoing state of emergency caused by the spread of the Coronavirus. The Department of Civil Protection has already arranged for the distribution of these products throughout Lombardy and other Italian regions.
This is just one of the contributions that Suning and Inter have made in this difficult time to help the country in the fight against the ongoing health crisis. With the Coronavirus spreading through China back in January, Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang and Inter made a donation of 300,000 medicals masks to the city of Wuhan.
Suning and Inter wasted no time in taking action to make an important contribution in the fight against the Coronavirus, and are continuing to give their support, as evidenced by the recent global crowdfunding campaign “#TogetherAsATeam”, which saw €658,000 raised. The total was donated to the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan, a centre of reference for infectious diseases and epidemiological emergencies.
