LECCE – His first goal in a Nerazzurri shirt wasn’t enough to get all three points for Inter. Alessandro Bastoni, born in 1999, scored a header with his second touch of the ball having come on against Lecce. That goal means that Inter have now had 14 different goalscorers this season (in Europe only Liverpool 16 and Real Madrid 15 have done better). Bastoni spoke to Inter TV at the end of the match: “We came here knowing it would be a difficult place to come to and a difficult match. There were spaces which we were struggling to cover, but we still did well: it’s a shame that we dropped two points.”
“It was an incredible feeling to score, but we’re all aiming for victory. We know that the match against Cagliari won’t be the same one that we had in the Coppa Italia, and they will certainly play with a more combative attitude.”
