MILAN - He started and got on the scoresheet. It was a special evening for Andrea Ranocchia, who scored his first goal of the season and twelfth in the Nerazzurri shirt in Inter’s 4-1 success over Cagliari in the Coppa Italia. This was also his third goal for Inter in the competition: “I’m very happy: the primary objective was to progress to the next round and my goal was the icing on the cake,” he said to Inter TV.
“Now, we need to immediately start thinking about the league again. We’re putting in the work, those who are playing fewer games are really training hard and are ready to play on an athletic level when the time comes. We’re happy with our performance, but now we need to start focusing on the league. The second half of the season is now beginning and we need to do even better than what we’ve done up to now to achieve the biggest objectives. It’s always a pleasure to score, winning the Coppa Italia is one of our aims.”
