Lautaro: “An intense game, we need to go up another level”

MILAN - Once again it was El Toro who opened proceedings as he put in yet another impressive performance tonight. Fifteen goals so far this season, seven of his ten in the league coming in the first thirty minutes of games and ten out of the total 15 in this same time period. It didn’t take him long tonight, Lautaro scoring his first league goal against Atalanta off Lukaku’s assist after just four minutes. The Argentinian attacker spoke to Inter TV after the draw: “It was an intense game, we looked for a second goal but when they equalised they then had a chance to win it with the penalty. The game was a tough one, we pressed high and had a good intensity but their equaliser came through a random moment.

“We have another game on Tuesday which is an absolute must-win. We knew that Atalanta were a strong and fit team, we’ll keep working hard because we’ve had a great first half to the season. We need to go up another level. Atalanta did well to keep us out in the second half.”
