— Dec 15th 2019The 15th day of our calendar is dedicated to the goalkeeper and member of the Nerazzurri's Hall of Fame
«What game would I like to play again? The first. Because then, I’d have the chance of playing another 472 for Inter»
One of the most totally committed Inter phrases of them all. Because that’s what Walter Zenga is like. Before being one of the greatest goalkeepers ever and before winning a Scudetto, two UEFA Cups and a Supercoppa Italiana with Inter, he used to be a young lad who went to San Siro to support Inter. He’s always been one of our own and was before his dream of playing in goal for the Nerazzurri ever came true.
Zenga spent twelve years in the First Team between 1982 and 1994. But before that, he was in the Inter youth sides form 1971 and 1978. A never-ending story. An extraordinary goalkeeper, nicknamed Uomo Rango (Spiderman) for three years between 1989 and 1991 and he was recognised as the goalkeeper of the year. When he talks about Inter, something lights up in his eyes. He was there for the record-breaking Scudetto win and bid farewell with a great performance on an unforgettable night at San Siro against Salzburg in 1994 as Inter lifted the UEFA Cup.
In 2018, he joined the Nerazzurri’s Hall of Fame as his link to Inter will live on forever.
