MILAN - Alessandro Antonello, the Corporate CEO of FC Internazionale Milano, was interviewed by Sky Sport regarding the project of the New Stadium for Milan: “There are some points and aspects that need clarifying. The Clubs are all for sitting down at the table to delve into the issue: we have never closed our doors; we’ve always shown ourselves to be available and open on all aspects, from construction to technical details.”
“Our intention is to continue the discussions and dialogue with the Municipal Administration. Here we have two private entities who want to invest 1.2 billion euros into the city and for the fans. We really are thinking of them, all those who always support the teams in such great numbers. They deserve a stadium that matches their passion.”
AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni added: “We need to look at the question of what will happen to the current San Siro facility: so far there hasn’t been sufficient clarity on what we want the future of the old Meazza to be, and what that future could be, considering the constraints expressed by the Municipality, as well as the financial sustainability of the project.”
