SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Inter U19s continued their perfect run in Europe today at the Stadio Breda as they came away with a 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund. After victories against Slavia Prague and Barcelona, Madonna’s Primavera side also beat the German team thanks to a Fonseca hat-trick and a goal from Persyn.
It was Dortmund who started better, taking the lead in the 8th minute with a great finish from Moukoko. Inter however did brilliantly to push through this tough period of the game, finding an equaliser after 23 minutes through Persyn. The Belgian latched onto Squizzato’s through ball, skipped past a defender and beat Unbehaun to level the scores. Just eight minutes later the Nerazzurri midfielder was right back at the heart of things, playing in Fonseca who gave Inter the lead. A superb reaction from Armando Madonna’s U19s to take them into the break 2-1 up.
The Nerazzurri flew out of the blocks for the second half, grabbing a third in the 46th minute and then a fourth in the 49th. First it was Fonseca who beat everyone to the header from a corner, and then it was our same number 11 who tucked home the rebound after Vergani’s penalty struck the post. Another penalty was awarded in the 68th minute, this time to Borussia Dortmund; however, Pozzer came up strong to keep Raschl out, making sure the game ended 4-1.
