Samaden: "The quality of our group gives us hope for the future"

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI- Inter produced a fantastic performance against Juventus, running out 5-1 winners. Roberto Samaden, the Nerazzurri’s Elite Academy Director, had the following to say after the match: “It was a great match, a hard-fought one – especially in the first half. As was also the case against Barcelona, we were able to dig in and put the game to bed when we had the chance to do so. This is a very important aspect for a young group like ours.

“There are many good prospects here and they can do well during the season. As regards the league, Atalanta are very strong and have many of the players who were involved in last year’s final playing for them. From this point of view, they have an advantage. However, the quality of our group gives us hope for the future. Many lads have been part of our Elite Academy since they were very young and it’s a great achievement to see them playing for the Primavera side today. It’s also fantastic to see Gnonto, who has developed with us, make his debut and score in the league.”
