The young defender after his Nerazzurri debut: "We came to Genoa to win and we succeeded in doing that"

GENOA - His first competitive match in an Inter shirt, a full 90 minutes on the pitch, and a real baptism of fire. He was booked in the very first minutes of the game and played the entire second half at a numerical disadvantage, but 20-year-old Alessandro Bastoni did not tremble for a second. In fact it was quite the opposite, with a very impressive Nerazzurri debut from the young defender. He spoke to Inter TV after the game about all the emotions from the evening: “It was exciting, I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. I’m happy with the team’s performance, we came here to win and we succeeded in doing that. The group has welcomed me so well, especially Godin who really keeps an eye on me. Every now and then I just can’t believe that someone like him is giving me advice, but it’s all very much real. I’m playing my football and enjoying it.”
