PRAGUE - Today, Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti was in attendance as the first Inter Academy opened in the Czech Republic. The inauguration of Inter Academy Czech Republic sees Inter return to the country following the Inter Academy Camp in July, which saw the involvement of 50 children from all over the country along with three Inter Academy coaches working alongside local coaches.
The partnership has come about thanks to an agreement between FC Internazionale Milano and Marek Frnda CZ and represents an important step in the development of high-quality technical training for young players and coaches in the Czech Republic.
Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti was present for the launch event, where he met the press and took part in the first activities on the pitch alongside the young players. Also in attendance at the launch were Inter Academy Czech Republic President Marek Frnda, Local Manager for Inter Academy Czech Republic Prague Jiři Hrabovskŷ and Inter Academy’s Technical Project Director Marco Monti.
“It’s always a great pleasure for me to represent Inter in the world and to take part in this kind of project,” said FC Internazionale Milano Vice President Javier Zanetti. “Being able to make the dreams of children who want to play football come true is always wonderful, and thanks to Inter Academy it’s possible for us to do this in their own countries. Through Inter Academy Czech Republic, children from the Czech Republic will be able to grow up inspired by the values that have always distinguished the Nerazzurri, not just on a football level but on a human level too.
“For me, it’s an honour to bring new football and educational opportunities for children, youngsters and local coaches to the Czech Republic through this project,” said Inter Academy Czech Republic President Marek Frnda. “We are delighted that we’ll be able to apply the vales and know-how of Inter’s youth setup here in our country. We’re pleased to become part of the Inter Academy network and the large Nerazzurri family.”
The Inter Academy team will look to share the Nerazzurri’s know-how with the ultimate aim of providing youngsters from the Czech Republic with the opportunity to grow and train following Inter’s high technical and ethical standards in their country of birth, a natural environment where they’ll be able to develop from both a football and human standpoint. The sharing of Inter’s expertise won’t just be directed towards the young players, but also the local coaches.
The start of the upcoming activities is scheduled for Monday 23 September with the arrival of the first Permanent Coach, who will set the technical activities in motion with a roadshow in schools in the Czech Republic.
