Milito helped Inter secure their 18th Scudetto nine years ago today

MILAN - “16:19". The big screen at the Stadio Franchi declared, written in green psychedelic letters on a black background and located just below the scoreline: SIENA-INTER 0-0. 60 minutes had gone when Javier Zanetti played in a perfect assist for Diego Milito, who controlled the ball and slid it cooly into the back of the net. 16:19 on 16th May 2010: SIENA-INTER 0-1. A total of nine years have passed since that day, which was the last of the 2009-10 season. A tricky fixture unlocked by Prince Milito, who was capable of beating Curci and gifting Inter their 18th Scudetto. An exceptional achievement that built on the team’s Coppa Italia triumph on 5th May 2010. However, that entire campaign only reached its climax on 22nd May in Madrid when Inter beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
