LAGOS - The Nerazzurri family has grown even larger thanks to the recent arrival of Inter Club Nigeria, who’ve now set up in Lagos. This is the first Inter Club launched in the country, while it is the eighth in Africa. Those already present operate in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia and Uganda.
The new President of Inter Club Nigeria, Ajala Hassan Oladiran, recently described his pride: “The journey that led to launching Inter Club Nigeria started in 2015 when some Nerazzurri fans met via the Inter Facebook page and started to gather all fans from across Nigeria. What inspired us most was the spirit of the team in the 1990s and then the early 2000s, when Inter had some great Nigerian players such as Taribo West, Nwankwo Kanu and Obafemi Martins. We meet every week to watch the matches together, supporting our team despite the distance. I am very happy and proud to have succeeded in completing this official registration. It really is a great honour to be the first Inter Club officially recognised in Nigeria.”
