Nerazzurri Nagallama

We’re back at the St Joseph primary school in Naggalama, a district of Mukono in Uganda. Here, the Nerazzurri shirt has become the official outfit during all ceremonies and especially during ‘Inter week’, which takes place at the end of every semester. This creates a chance for events, tournaments and activities, involving students’ families and the entire community.

At a glance, you can see the green grass between the school buildings, the well and also mango and banana trees dotted around. Wherever you look, you can see Nerazzurri kits from the past 10 years worn by schoolchildren, giving you a real sense of our presence and friendship with this school – one that arose at the Cuamm hospital, and whose doctors host us in their Guesthouse during the week.

With 25 coaches in total, joining teachers from this institution and other schools, they all carefully follow what Davide and Lorenzo have to say both on and off the field. To conclude, as always, they then train with the kids in their new kits and end with a final ceremony. We all pray together for our safe return to Italy, for our families and for the good of the project.
