MILAN - The Nerazzurri’s CEO Sport GiuseppeMarotta spoke to Sky Sport just minutes before Inter vs. Napoli: “We can compete at the same level as Napoli, both tonight and throughout the entire season. I am confident, we can put in a good performance.”
Marotta also responded to the current situation with Radja Nainggolan: “Our position is clear and that is what we said in our statement a few days ago. We followed the advice of our Coach, who is the leader of this group. Internal matters are controlled by us and we must not discuss them here. Nainggolan is here tonight, he’ll follow the match in the stands and this demonstrates his attachment to the club. Within a squad, if you make a mistake then it’s only right that you pay for it. It’s then down to us to support the coach so that the player can perform at his best. Nainggolan made a mistake, the club was vigilant and then took action. The issue is now considered closed. A move in January? I don’t believe for a moment that that will happen. I’m not the first to see his value and he’s a player that the Club really wanted.”
