21 players called up to Italy youth teams

MILAN - Once again, a large number of players from the Inter Elite Academy have received international call-ups. Eight are in the Italy Under-18 and 19 teams. Ntube, Colombini and Vergani have been called up by Daniele Franceschini while Gavioli, Schirò, Pompetti, Merola and Salcedo will be involved in friendlies against Hungary and Slovakia.

Last week, a number of Inter players were in international action. Dimarco, Pirola, Chio, Cester, Oristanio and Esposito featured for the Italy Under-17 side in Under-17 European Championship qualifiers that were victories against Andorra, Armenia and Croatia. Priori, Zanotti, Cepele, Radaelli, Casadei, Peschetola and Gnonto were also called up by the Italy Under-16 side.

Overall, 21 players were called up by the Italy U-19, U-18, U-17 and U-16 teams, paying further testimony to the important work that is ongoing at the Elite Academy.
