MILAN – On the occasion of the 169th Derby della Madonnina in Serie A, Pirelli Design is bringing out limited edition skis – 110 pairs to be precise – which are inspired by the colours of the team. The surface of the ski is completely black, while the iconic Pirelli logo is found on the tip in Inter blue. On the tail, the original badge designed by Muggiani together with the letters FCIM are found. Pirelli Design has created 110 pairs of these new, limited edition skis to mark the 110th anniversary of FC Internazionale Milano. This is another moment which cements one of the longest and most successful partnerships in world football dating back to 1995.
The Pirelli-branded pairs of skis were designed at the Biocca factory and produced by Blossom skis, a leader in the ‘hand-made’ construction of high-performance skis. They have been put together in respect of the great tradition of craftsmanship in Val Chiavenna in collaboration with Pirelli’s engineers.
In addition to the wooden core, the base made of graphite, the double layer of Titanal for ski stabilisation, the presence of fibreglass as well as triaxial fibreglass for perfect twisting, within each ski there is a layer of anti-vibration rubber made in Pirelli factories which dampens the energy of stress suffered by the ski on the slope up to 60%. This results in excellent performance, wherever it is used.
Only subscribers to Inter’s official mailing list will have the chance of securing one of the 110 pairs of skis for themselves through an online invitation.
