Ausilio: "We're calm and aware of what we can do"

BOLOGNA - Sporting Director Piero Ausilio spoke with Sky Sport just before kick-off in Bologna vs. Inter. "Icardi and Lautaro had some physical issues yesterday, we preferred not to risk them from the start but we’re absolutely competitive with Keita up front regardless of who is out," he began. "We all know Nainggolan, unfortunately, he basically missed all of the pre-season preparation but he has desire, experience, quality and character."

Alongside Brozovic in midfield, it’s Gagliardini’s debut this season. "We have a complete midfield, it’s Gagliardini’s turn today and the time will come for Borja Valero and Joao Mario. Today, it’s hard to find a classic playmaker. If you have one, you hold onto them tightly but our midfield is built in a different way."

Inter are yet to win from the first two matches. "We need to keep working, stay together and improve. The way in which the whole group makes me calm. We have the quality and we’re convinced by what we’ve done so far, this team has experienced players, talented youngsters, a top class technical staff and all of this will show."
