The Dutch defender spoke after Sunday's defeat to Sassuolo: "We struggled to pass the ball and we conceded too many counter-attacks"

REGGIO EMILIA - After making his debut against Sassuolo on Sunday, Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij spoke to Inter TV and the club’s official Facebook page after the game: “Obviously, we didn’t want to start off like this. We struggled to pass the ball, we were too loose in possession and we conceded too many counter-attacks. We pushed hard for the equaliser in the second half and we did better out on the pitch. I had a good chance at the end and it would’ve been an important goal but the goalkeeper did well. It’s now time for our San Siro debut next week and the support of our fans will be really important.”
