The Coach's analysis after #InterZenit: "We did much better, our legs are starting to move again and we were more compact as a side"

PISA - Luciano Spalletti was in a satisfied mood when he spoke to Inter TV following the friendly draw between Inter and Zenit St Petersburg at the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa. "We did much better compared to the last match, both on a tactical and physical level. The team was far more compact, it understood when to attack and when to wait. We did our work in the right way."

"Our mentality must always be one where we look to go and score goals, especially in these games which are useful as you look to find a rhythm," the Nerazzurri Coach added. "At this time, there’s no point thinking too much about tactical details, not falling behind is what matters. We’re starting to move our legs again and this is also vitally important for the players mentally."

Finally, there was a question on the decision to play Asamoah in midfield.  "He got on very well in that role even though he hadn’t played there for some time. At Udinese he often played wider in midfield while at Juventus he played at full-back above all else. I also saw that Dalbert was calmer for the entire match."
