NORWICH - Following the win at Stamford Bridge, Inter Forever’s tour of England moved east to Norfolk.
Last night, the players were received at Carrow Road for the official pre-match dinner. For the goalkeepers and promoters Toldo and Gunn, it was a chance to introduce the respective teams and proceed with the traditional exchange of gifts. The Nerazzurri presented a table clock from Gagà Milano.
Early in the afternoon, the match against Norwich City Legends was held to celebrate 25 years since the Canaries’ European adventure in the competition that was eventually won by Inter. 2-1 was the final score after Materazzi's opener and an own goal in the first half before Norwich halved the deficit in the second half.
It was a great party and after there was a real sense of satisfaction at having supported the ‘Nest’ project with the gate receipts going to the community project to build sporting infrastructure.
