A Zaniolo brace along with Adorante, Colidio and D'Amico goals sent the Inter Under-19s to the semi-finals with a match to spare

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - The Under-19s made no mistake at the Stadio Breda with the chance to secure a place in the Final Four as they beat Sassuolo 5-0 on matchday 29 of the Primavera 1 TIM season. The result means the Nerazzurri have booked a place in the semi-finals that will take place on 5th and 6th June at the Mapei Stadium with a match to spare.

Stefano Vecchi’s players put their foot straight on the accelerator and needed just three minutes to open the scoring. A wonderful incisive pass from Schirò played in Zaniolo who beat Satalino with his right to make it 1-0. Inter looked to make the most of the positive momentum and almost doubled the lead a few seconds later when Satalino dived to save from Gavioli at a corner. The first chance for the visitors also came from a corner when Mota Carvalho hit the bar with a header.

After pitting that moment of fear behind them, Under-19s went back in search of goals. A perfect cross from Gavioli on the right allowed Adorante to apply the finish for his third goal of the season. In the 38th minute, Sassuolo were dangerous again as Celia made his way into the box but he couldn’t beat Pissardo as the ball went out via the woodwork. In order to not jeopardise the result, Inter went back on the front foot and Colidio scored a spectacular goal in the 44th minute after a Zaniolo brace.

At the start of the second half, Bettella almost made it 4-0 with a header from a corner. Satalino was doing his best to keep out the fourth but it came in the 58th minute when Zaniolo received the ball at the edge of the box and found the net with a powerful left-foot strike. In the final 15 minutes, the Primavera was happy to manage the lead before D’Amico made it 5-0 in the 90th minute as he redirected a shot by Merola. Inter could therefore celebrate the final whistle and a place in the league’s semi-finals.
