AC Milan vs. Inter: All the information on the #DerbyMilano

MILAN - Following the convincing 3-0 home win against Hellas Verona where Mauro Icardi bagged a brace and Ivan Perisic got on the scoresheet, Inter will be back in action on Wednesday 4th April at 18:30 CEST for the rearranged fixture from matchday 27 of the Serie A TIM season. Earlier, the tragic passing of Davide Astori meant that it had to be postponed on 4th March. It’s not just any match for Luciano Spalletti’s team as San Siro will be hosting the third #DerbyMilano of the season.

In the reverse fixture where Inter were at ‘home’ on 15th October, Luciano Spalletti’s team won 3-2 thanks to a dramatic late goal with Mauro Icardi the clear star as he netted a hat-trick. Since then, Milan have changed their coach with Gennaro Gattuso now the incumbent on the Rossoneri’s bench after Vincenzo Montella was sacked at the end of November. In the table, eight points separate Inter and Milan with the Rossoneri sixth on 50 points with a record of 15 wins, 5 draws and 9 defeats (42 goals for and 35 against). 

Following on from the league match in October, the teams then met again on 27th December in the quarter-finals of the TIM Cup. It was a long match that went to extra-time before Patrick Cutrone scored the winner in the 104th minute to eliminate the Nerazzurri from the competition. 

The match will be refereed by Marco Di Bello of Brindisi along with his assistants Giallatini and Dobosz with the fourth official Dover. Orsato and Schenone will be the VAR operators.
