SHKODËR - Giampiero Ventura's Italy picked up an important win in the final qualifier for the 2018 World Cup. The Azzurri won 1-0 over Albania thanks to Antonio Candreva's 73rd minute goal after he turned home from a Spinazzola cross at close range. The result means that Italy will be a seeded side for the playoffs in November which determine who the final four European sides going to Russia will be. 

Against Albania, Eder (taken off after 89 minutes for Gabbiadini) and Roberto Gagliardini also started while Danilo D'Ambrosio remained on the bench.
