Dalbert: "Inter are a great side and Spalletti is a top coach"

APPIANO GENTILE - Having recently responded to Nerazzurri fans live on Facebook and Twitter, Dalbert has now also released an exclusive interview with Premium Sport: “Inter are a really strong side with some top players,” said the Brazilian defender. “I am very happy to play a part in this project and also start a new stage in my career. I hope to have success here.

“I previously put a lot thought into my future with my family and this was the best option in terms of further development. I want to improve the defensive side of my game and I think that in Italy I will become a better player. Also, playing for a great team like Inter will increase my chances of representing the National side.”

Over the years, there have a number of impressive Brazilian full-backs that have left a lasting impression upon the Nerazzurri support: “I am a big fan of Roberto Carlos and Maicon,” he added. “I hope to continue this positive tradition of Brazilian players featuring for Inter and in Italy, as well as also matching my compatriots who are already here. I hope that this season is very positive. I have confidence in our squad. We are very strong and only need to keep working in the right manner to achieve success.” 

Despite having only just arrived in Milan, the 23-year-old has already highlighted Luciano Spalletti’s ability and charisma: “He is a top coach. Not only is he hard to please, but his footballing views and working methods are also impressive . He is a forward-thinking tactician and he will help Inter secure much success.”

To conclude, Dalbert made a promise to all of the Inter support: “I will always fight hard on the field and I’ll give everything for Inter. I will try to continue on the right path and I’ll do my utmost to improve every aspect of my game whilst playing for this club.”
