Spalletti:"The players have conducted themselves as a team"

LECCE – Luciano Spalletti offered his thoughts to Inter Channel after the 1-0 win over Real Betis in the final pre-season match before the start of the season. “We were a united block today, we gave up little space for the opponents,” he said. “When he was needed, Handanovic was always there. We did well. We moved the ball around quickly. In the second half, we gave the ball away a few too many times but we always went looking to win it back high up the pitch. My analysis of pre-season? The players have always acted as a team, working all together. They’re professionals, they’ve worked well and they’ll show it also in the league.”

Spalletti also spoke about individual players. “Dalbert’s debut? He had a crazy desire to make it and he then got the chance and it went well. Icardi? Mauro is at 100 per cent when he’s with the team but he still needs a few more training sessions to reach his peak condition.”
