Pinamonti hails "fantastic year"

REGGIO EMILIA – Among the stars of the Primavera’s sensational Scudetto triumph, match-winner Andrea Pinamonti was certainly one of the most important.

"Today’s goal was my best moment of the season," the striker said after the game. "It looked as if we could manage the game at 2-0 but then they were awarded a penalty. There were some nerves but I trust my team-mates.

"It’s been a fantastic year for me; we fought right until the end. It’s hugely satisfying, especially on the back of last season. I dreamed of scoring in a final but I didn’t think it was going to happen.

"Always working at top form and being a team were the keys to victory. I don’t know who will make their debuts in the first team, like me, but I hope everyone can do it. I dedicate the goal and the victory to my family and Tommaso Ascoli, a little lad from the youth academy who is a great supporter of ours."
