The Nerazzurri delivered more crosses than any other team in Europe while Icardi followed in the footsteps of some of Inter's greatest goalscorers

MILAN - Inter signed off the 2016/17 Serie A campaign with a resounding 5-2 home win against Udinese.

With the help of our friends at Opta, we've put together a few key stats recorded by the Nerazzurri during the season:

- Mauro Icardi is the ninth Inter player to score at least 24 goals in a single league campaign. He was preceded by Giuseppe Meazza, Istvan Nyers, Antonio Valentin Angelillo, Roberto Boninsegna, Ronaldo, Christian Vieri, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Diego Milito.

- Icardi finished the season with the fourth-best goals-plus-assists tally (24 + 8).

- The Nerazzurri put in 940 crosses from open play in 2016/17 – more than any other team in the top five European leagues.

- Inter conceded just four headed goals all season – no one in Italy did better.

- Inter had the third-highest number of total shots (635) and the fourth-best attack in Serie A (72 goals). They Nerazzurri scored the same number of home goals as Napoli (44), with only Roma (50) and Juventus (48) netting more.
