A Capone hat-trick wins it for the visitors, who close the gap at the top to two points with three games left

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Inter Primavera's 14-match unbeaten run in the league was ended by Atalanta on Saturday as the Nerazzurri slipped to a 3-1 defeat at the Stadio Breda.

Andrea Pinamonti struck the post in the 5th minute before Capone scored twice for the visitors courtesy of a couple of defensive mistakes by the Nerazzurri rearguard.

That prompted Stefano Vecchi to bring on Karlo Butic and switch to a 4-2-4 formation, before he then threw Christian Mutton into the fray after the break.

The January signing took just five minutes to make an impact as he fired home a brilliant long-range strike to halve the arrears.

However, Inter were unable to complete the comeback as Atalanta scored a third with five minutes left on the clock.

The result sees Atalanta move to within two points of Inter at the top of the Group C table with three games of the regular season left to play.
