The Primavera boss spoke to Inter Channel after the Nerazzurri sealed their place among the top seeds for the Final Eight with a 0-0 draw against Bologna

MILAN - Stefano Vecchi admitted his team weren't at their clinical best after they were held to a goalless draw by Bologna in their second-last Group C match of the Primavera championship.

However, the result still means the Nerazzurri will be among the top four seeds when the end-of-season finals commence.

"We dominated the game, especially in the first half but squandered our chances. We lacked a cutting edge in front of goal today,” the U19 boss told Inter Channel the game at Suning Development Centre in memory of Giacinto Facchetti on Saturday.

“We know we've qualified for the Final Eight and will be among the top seeds but we still set out to win every game and manage our squad as best we can ahead of the quarter-finals.

"We'll play a friendly against Pro Vercelli next week before our last match of the regular season at Genoa the week after that.”
