New partnership announced in Chongqing, further bolstering the already strong ties between Inter and China

MILAN - At a ceremony held in the Chinese city of Chongqing on 21 March, SWM Motors and F.C. Internazionale announced the beginning of a new collaboration which sees SWM Motors become an official partner of the club. The SWM X7 also becomes the Official Car of F.C. Internazionale for the Greater China area.

Attending the ceremony, held to formally sign the agreement, were SWM Motors and Shineray Holdings president Gong Daxing, F.C. Internazionale CRO Michael Gandler, F.C. Internazionale Sales & Partnership Management Director Giorgio Brambilla, SWM Motors CEO Xie Yong and Nerazzurri legend Marco Materazzi, who still regularly dons the black and blue with Inter Forever. During the event, Materazzi unveiled the only Inter-themed limited edition X7 in the world, adding his signature for good measure.

SWM Motors and F.C. Internazionale have plenty in common: both were founded in Milan and yet both have a decidedly international mindset, with a particular focus on China. Together, the two brands are aiming to continue their growth while striving for the values and objectives which unite them: to expand internationally and to forge an ever-closer relationship with fans and the general public in China.

"This partnership is an important step for us, particularly because it sees us increase our presence in Asia," said Inter CRO Michael Gandler. "SWM is the perfect partner for Inter as we look to expand the club’s activities in the region."

The partnership between SWM Motors and F.C. Internazionale represents the latest chapter in Inter’s long relationship with China. Inter has always had a deep connection with the country since it became the first European club to visit China back in 1978, with the club regularly playing matches in China and visiting for pre-season tours. Inter also runs a series of projects in the country, activities now supported by majority stakeholder Suning Holdings Group.

For two historic, prestigious organisations such as SWM Motors and F.C. Internazionale, the aim is to forge ever-closer ties as they pursue success together.
