U19s claim big point at Virtus Entella

CHIAVARI – A late, late goal by Axel Bakayoko earned Inter Under-19s a precious point away to Virtus Entella in Week 16 of the Primavera championship this afternoon.
The Nerazzurri fell behind when Allucci fired home from the edge of the box in the 17th minute, and although they rallied they were unable to level the scores before half time despite a couple of late chances.
Bakayoko was thrown into the fray after the break as Stefano Vecchi's men set about finding an equaliser, and the substitute almost set one up on the hour mark, only for Danso's finish to come off the post via a deflection.
The Nerazzurri couldn't find the breakthrough and as the game entered stoppage time it seemed Virtus would hold on and close the gap at the top. But with just a few seconds left on the clock Bakayoko cut inside from the right, sped past Carullo and angled a shot inside the near post.
That proved to be the last kick of the game as the ref blew the final whistle with the Nerazzurri celebrating the goal and a crucial draw.
It means Inter maintain their eight-point lead over fourth-placed Virtus, who together with Roma and Atalanta are in the mix for the two automatic places in the Final Eight.
Elsewhere, Roma won their game to move within a point of the leaders and it's first against second next week with the Giallorossi making the trip up to Milan.
