BOLOGNA – Piero Ausilio found time to say a few words in the build-up to today's lunchtime kick-off between Bologna and Inter.
"We can't let ourselves think about the players who are ruled out,” he began. "Let's take things one match at a time and hope we get the result."
He also spoke about potential transfer targets and one of Inter's very own promising prospects.
"Marco Verratti plays for a wealthy club that don't tend to sell their players. Andrea Pinamonti is just concentrated on his own job. We've got a technical project laid out; we believe in him and he knows that. He'll be in the first-team squad until the end of the season. We're already thinking about the summer transfer window. We're working hard and getting in touch with a lot of players.
"During the week we watch a lot of games; maybe we just don't shout about it as much as others.
"The most important thing is that there's the will and pleasure to work. We'll talk about my contract, but my priority is always Inter.
"I don't think it's in either Perisic's or our intentions for him to leave," Ausilio concluded. "He's part of a massive project and we don't want to sell our players. We cannot envisage an Inter without Perisic; we're not going to get rid of best players."
