This is the second European meeting between Slavia Prague and Inter Milan, with the other the 1-1 draw on MD1 of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
In major UEFA European competition, Slavia Prague are winless in four matches against Italian opponents (W0 D2 L2) since a 2-1 win over Palermo in February 2006 in the UEFA Cup.
Slavia Prague have lost their last three home major UEFA European matches – they have never lost four in a row, also losing three consecutively between November 2008 and October 2009.
Slavia Prague haven’t scored a single goal in the first half of any their last eight UEFA Champions League matches, attempting 36 shots in the first half of those games without success.
Inter Milan have never played an away UEFA Champions League match in the Czech Republic – their last away European match in the country was also in Prague, losing 3-1 against Sparta Prague in the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League group stage.
Inter Milan have won just one of their last eight UEFA Champions League matches (W1 D3 L4) since winning their opening two group stage games of the 2018-19 campaign.
Inter have lost their last two away UEFA Champions League matches when scoring first, losing 2-1 to Barcelona and 3-2 against Borussia Dortmund. Prior to this, they’d lost just one of 24 away games in the competition after scoring first (W16 D7 L1).
Lautaro Martínez has scored in his last three UEFA Champions League appearances for Inter – he could become the fifth Argentinian to score in four consecutively, after Hernan Crespo (2002), Lionel Messi (six occasions), Sergio Agüero (2019) and Ezequiel Lavezzi (2013).
Inter are on a run of four consecutive away UEFA Champions League defeats – the only Italian side to lose more in a row are Roma (five between November 2017 and September 2018).
