APPIANO GENTILE - The Nerazzurri worked in groups throughout the day at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti.
International returnees Nicolas Burdisso, Julio Cruz, Luis Jimenez and Javier Zanetti underwent light sessions this morning, working alongside Olivier Dacourt and Walter Samuel who continued their injury rehabilitation programmes.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic performed strengthening exercises in the first of his two sessions.
Cristian Chivu, Marco Materazzi, Dejan Stankovic and Pelé went through light workouts in the afternoon on their return from international duty, while the rest of the squad performed warm-up exercises, continued with target practice and technique drills, and finished off with some aerobic work.
Cesar worked with the squad in the main afternoon training session, as did Primavera players Vid Belec, Francesco Bolzoni, Alberto Gerbo, Renè Krhin and Daniele Pedrelli.
Ibrahimovic was back at work after lunch. The Swedish forward did some cycling in the gym followed by running on the pitch.
Esteban Cambiasso (physiotherapy, cycling, aerobic work on pitch) and Luis Figo (aerobic work, exercises on sand track, technique drills) also trained separately.
On his return from Paris, Patrick Vieira underwent medical tests, which showed an improvement in his left thigh condition. The French midfielder then went through a long individual session with fitness coach Gian Nicola Bisciotti (physiotherapy, warm-up exercises, running on pitch).
David Suazo is due back on Friday ahead of the final session before the squad's departure for Rome.
