MILAN - Inter defender Marco Materazzi was discharged from hospital this morning.
He was admitted to the orthopaedic clinic at Pavia's San Matteo hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning after injuring his right thigh in Wednesday's international friendly between Italy and Hungary in Budapest.
Assisted by Inter doctor Franco Combi, Materazzi underwent surgery late Thursday morning to drain the diagnosed hematoma using an endoscopy, and under ultrasound control.
